In this edition of Neighborhood Spotlight, we’ll focus on Village at the Park in Camarillo. If you ever think about a family-friendly, meticulously kept community, the Village may be the place.
Located just off U.S. 101, this Master Planned Community’s prime focus is the 55-acre sports park that includes baseball, softball, and soccer fields along with jogging and running paths. But in addition to the sports park, you will also find restaurants, retail shopping, community pools, spas, and even a full-service family YMCA. The Village neighborhoods, built with a Mediterranean design, offer excellent walkability, dedicated bikeways, and a picturesque community park complete with a children’s playground. But wait there’s more! Beautiful, Rancho Posal Elementary School, built in 2007, is located right inside the Village.
Most of the single-family homes at Village in the Park were built between 2005 and 2019. All lie along beautiful tree-lined streets and boulevards, none of which are thoroughfares meaning only local traffic. The Single-family homes in the Village range between 3-5 bedrooms, 3-4 baths, and anywhere from 1650 and 2500 square feet. Depending on the location and the floor plan, lot sizes can be as large as 8900 square feet.
There are townhomes located throughout the Village at the Park. Mostly built around 2005, these townhomes average four bedrooms and four baths and range between 1650-2100 square feet, again depending on the floorplan.
There are also exquisite condominiums in the Village, located in the Brookshire Community, built between 2005 and 2006. Most are two bedrooms and two baths, averaging between 1100 and 1400 square feet, and offer access to the community pool, spa, clubhouse, and gym.
Close by, the Santa Monica Mountains offer a dramatic backdrop as well as a multitude of hiking, mountain biking, and camping opportunities. And those beautiful Ventura County beaches are just a 15-minute drive away.
Camarillo is ideally situated several miles off the coast, and locals can enjoy the ocean breezes without the foggy gray skies that frequent the beach communities in late spring. In fact, locals will tell you the climate in Camarillo is as ideal as any in California. In July, peak summer highs average about 77 degrees, with overnight winter lows ranging from the mid-40s to mid-50s. Camarillo gets about 16 inches of rain per year and averages 277 sunny days.
